Eco-Council
Our Eco-Counsellors are a passionate group of children committed to created a sustainable future for all. Two representatives from each class are chosen. Children meet regularly to discuss and action plans to make our school and out local community Eco-friendly.
Led by four pupils in years 5 and 6, pupils play an integral role in planning our yearly climate focused half term, deciding on outcomes and activities and making sure that we stay environmentally focused for the rest of the year too.
Pupils have liaised with the local council to begin composting, organise food waste collections and as part of a clean air campaign. They regularly run assemblies and are currently developing our school garden. The school are active members of Lewisham climate network, and have hosted pupil conferences.
